Display 1 Display 2 not consistent...

A bit difficult to explain but my problem is that software is inconsistently determining what is Display 1 and Display 2 according to what is connected to the HDMI port...

I use KM Player and set it so that in Full Screen output is to the TV.

The problem is that with the TV connected directly to the PC I have to tell KMP to output to Display 1 for it to output to the TV, but Display 1 (according to UltraMon and Intel HD software) is the PC monitor. If I connect my AV Receiver to the PC (again using HDMI, and the TV is connect to the AV Receiver) then I have to tell KMP to (correctly) output to Display 2 for it to output to the TV. Same with Potplayer.

W7 x64, i3 on board graphics
PC monitor connected via VGA, TV connected via HDMI
UltraMon and Intel HD graphics show Monitor as Display 1 and TV as Display 2 not matter what is connected to the HDMI port.

Any idea's why this is happening ?
