I know a ton of people here love IPS monitors well i stumbled on a couple pretty cheap ones a new one from LG 23" LED for$219 even with free super saver shipping http://www.amazon.com/LG-IPS235T-23-Inc ... B007SIC6KY
And a 23" LED viewsonic for 26% off at 179.99 http://www.amazon.com/Viewsonic-VX2336S ... merReviews

I think that's pretty cheap for IPS monitors,But i am sure you IPS fans know better then me what a good deal is,but i figured i would post it just in case.

It's a 6-bit eIPS panel rather than an 8 or 10-bit H-IPS panel. You'll still get good viewing angles but color representation will depend on the quality of the dithering built into the monitor.

Good price, but 16:9 aspect ratio is not something I'd consider as "good".

Which leaves you with either much more expensive 24" 16:10 or 30", also all else equal a monitor that's otherwise considered great the change from 16:10 to 16:9 wouldn't make me suddenly consider said monitor less than good. The difference is worth noting but it's not that big.

Just saw this on anandtech:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/5885/the- ... ps-display

A bare bones 27" 2560x1440 S-IPS for $315 shipped. Very temping, but I'm a little worried about the seller's dead pixel policy and the fact that the monitor doesn't even have a basic video scaler. No more CMOS/POST screens.
Like a good neighbor jackbomb is there.
