Way to check if sata port is 6gbps

I have a buddy who has a laptop running the Mobile Intel® HM65 Express Chipset, but that supports 3 and 6 gbps. we're wondering if there's a way to check, as an ssd is looking attractive, and you can probably see where i'm going. Need a way to check. tried looking the model number up, but couldn't find any hard details. timelinex 3830t

Any ideas?

The 4830 model does look like it has SATA6 support, and it has same chipset:
