If you could kindly check out the core parking thread in the CPU forums and offer input that would most definitely be helpful!

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=85357

Really this applies to anyone with a processor with two or more physical or logical cores and W7 and possibly W8.

(I apologize to any mods reading this, I'm just attempting to get users who don't frequent the CPU forums and more data points)

Churin........here is the link """ viewtopic.php?f=2&t=85357 """ to the original thread in that thread you will find a link to a program that will disable core parking posted by bensam123. Note it is reversible just in case you want to re-enable it.
What core parking is? Core parking is something windows 7 does when cores are not needed. It parks/shuts down the core until windows 7 thinks it needs it again. Now it takes milliseconds to unpark a core but it seems like if core parking is disabled the systen seems to me and many others to be more responsive....threaded application's have better load balancing between the cores. If you read through the Post's in the provided link you can see the percieved and noticed benefits of disabling core parking.
Cheers and Happy Holidays! :D
