fast cheap scanner

Postposted on Fri May 10, 2013 8:16 am

does anyone have a recommendation on a fast cheap scanner? by cheap i just mean less than $200. i know i can get a fast document when budget is not an issue. i dont need anything too fancy. i just need a way to get documents onto my computer. i would prefer something that lets me save multi-page PDF's but i would guess all scanners do that now. i have a great epson at home that i love, its just not fast enough for large files.

I have a Canon CanoScan that works well. It's not super speedy, but the images are nice. It works great for photos as well as documents.

Thanks bthylafh. i would never have thought about those fuji scanners. i really like the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i. it seems like it might be a tad faster and since i am dealing with longer docs it might save my sanity.

I use a basic Canon Pixma all-in-one, the quality isn't photo-quality but it's good enough for documents and all-in-ones are dirt cheap. Never timed it but I think it takes around 10 seconds from pushing the button to it showing up on my PC, not sure if it does multi-page PDF.
