GTX 1070 Reviews Live

Sun May 29, 2016 8:42 pm

Despite June 10th availability, the NDA has been lifted:

Overall, it seems to just slightly edge out the Titan X / 980 Ti at stock. However, after you OC, the big Maxwell seems to have the advantage.

I'm waiting for Polaris personally. If Polaris 10 is able to offer equal to or better than Fiji Pro performance at 300 or less, I'm going to jump on it. If not, a GTX 1070 may very well be in my future.

im probably going to get one of these
ill miss out on freesync (my monitor is a freesync monitor) but freesync doesnt seem to make much difference anyways at higher framerates

polaris seems to be too close to the performance of my highly overclocked 290 (1200mhz) anyways going by the early leaks and i want a BIG jump in performance when i buy a card

1070 showing better than titan-x performance across the board with max settings at 2560x1440. Making me wonder if I really need the 1080 now...

Just wait till we see the custom AIB dual 6 pin 1080 overclock results. I have my eye on an eVGA FTW version.

It is the 670 and 5850 all over again, hopefully 1070 will avoid the availability issues that plagued 5850. It doesn't look that encouraging for the 1080 though.
Gigabyte X670 AORUS-ELITE AX, Raphael 7950X, 2x16GiB of G.Skill TRIDENT DDR5-5600, Sapphire RX 6900XT, Seasonic GX-850 and Fractal Define 7 (W)
Ivy Bridge 3570K, 2x4GiB of G.Skill RIPSAW DDR3-1600, Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H, Corsair CX-750M V2, and PC-7B

1070 is looking like a nice ticket to 60fps at 1440P. 1080 is better of course, but not quite enough to get the same 60fps at 4k.

I'm definitely watching this one, but won't make any decisions until the cards have been out for a while and AMD has brought whatever to the table.

That would be the best course of action.
