benchmarking using jedi outcast

Mon May 06, 2002 3:58 pm

Does anybody know how to use Jedi knight: jedi outcast for benchmarking?
Lot's of sites seem to use that game now, but I can't seem to figure out how they use it.

You have to create a short cut to the multiplayer .exe and add +set sv_cheats 1 to the end of the filename in the properties of the short cut. It willl look like this:

"D:\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\jk2mp.exe" +set sv_cheats 1

Run the short cut and then hit shift ` to get the ~ and the the familiar Q3 command line will come down. Then just like in all the Q3 games type timedemo 1 and then demo <demoname> and run the demo. You will then have to scroll up to see your FPS by using Page up.
Being right doesn't matter if no one listens.

How do you get it to show you the frames per second? I was able to run the timedemo but not able to get a performance reading.
Resistance is futile.

you have to scroll 'UP' to see yor FPS score. it is in the end dialogue when the Time demo completes.

yeah the "page up" key should do the trick. If not I Know there is a command line entry that can repost and pause the former information, let me think.............hmmmmmmmm.........damn for the life of me I cannot remember what it is.
