Nvidia BIOS editing

Has anybody tried to mod their Geforce bios to support Fast Writes or SBA with any of the various bios mod tools floating around on the net?

I did, and the results were weird. According to ZTAGPtool, both FW and SBA are now enabled. I also inserted the appropriate registry keys to enable the features in the driver like it says in the geforce faq. Thing is, I actually LOST a 1-2 fps in the obligatory Quake 3 benches. This is on a Athlon 1.1ghz, Abit KT7 with a GF3 Ti200.

So does anybody else have any experience in this? Am I doing something wrong, do FW and SBA just suck, or is Darth Via to blame???

I could not get SBA enabled but fast writes I was able get going on my Geforce 2 Ti. I'm still trying to figure what clock tables I should use to enable permanent overclocking.

Use the very first set of clock tables. That worked for me.
