the Direct3d settings in the Radeon drivers don't allow you to turn off their AA or Smoothing settings, which makes for really crappy looking text in some games. so who's to blame? the game maker for putting in text that can't be smoothed without becoming unreadable, or the video card manuf. for not letting us turn off the smoothing? settings can be taken down to 2x for both AA and smoothvision, but neither can (apparently) be turned off.
shouldn't a person be able to run the AA and Smoothy all the way up just for the eye candy factor? i want to blame this on the game...
