Tue Oct 22, 2002 12:39 pm

Hi all

I have just got my new Chaintech Ti4200 128mb card and the RAM has the following written on it.

Samsung 226
K4D28163HD - TC40

Does anybody know what this RAM is capable of?? The default speed I believe is 444Mhz.

8) Most people use coolbits but you can use RivaTuner or any other similar util.

 The last 2 digits are the crucial ones, 40 relates to 4.0ns (what nearly all 4200-128 have) and should technicaly hit 500mhz with certainty although 550mhz or so is common in practice.

:D The core should get 275mhz at least with 320mhz not being unheard of.

:P Your defaults should be 250/444 and for reference 4400=275/550 4600=300/650. So raise those clocks gradually looking at each setting for any visual glitches which will indicate the limit has been reached, then back off a few notches and away you go.

Cheers Austin, I'll have a go at it when it's up and running.

I currently have my Ti-4200 running at 300/550 with no problems. It has the exact same memory as yours, you should have no problems OCing it.
