Some interesting information "leaked" from Intel due to some codenames included in kernel updates for some next-generation Atom based SoCs: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=n ... px=MTA3NDc
It looks like Intel is dumping PowerVR and moving the Ivy Bridge GPU architecture (likely in cut-down form for low power consumption) over to Atom. This is *excellent* news because Ivy Bridge already has excellent open-source driver support under Linux and that means that the craptacular PowerVR drivers that have crippled earlier versions of Atom will soon be a thing of the past. I've said in the past that Intel's GPU efforts are almost entirely geared toward mobile users and this just exemplefies that philosophy.
