GTX660 vs. GTX660Ti

Tue Oct 30, 2012 9:06 am

I'm thinking of upgrading my current MSI GTX460 Fan OC 1GB (256-bit, 336 Core, 725/3600), but I have difficulties choosing between a GTX660 and a GTX660Ti.
The prices are the following:

Standard Gigabyte Windforce GTX660 - 210 EUR
OC'ed Gigabyte Windforce GTX660- 235 EUR
Standard Gigabyte Windforce GTX660Ti - 285 EUR

Which would you recommend? Is the 75 EUR (~$100) difference justified for the GTX660Ti? Or should I just go with the OC'ed version instead?

*I'm not a Radeon fanboy, I don't wish to buy any AMD cards.

Thanks for the great advice! The extra ~10 fps is not worth 75 EUR and since the Asus GTX660 DCU Top looks more awesome I think I'm going with it. With the money I save on the non-Ti card + EUR 25 I'd rather buy an SSD.

The cooler on the Asus card is quite something - even with Furmark I can't make the fans spin up to anything more than a whisper, and that's at max GPU temps of ~70C
