In that price range, you're probably looking at the Nvidia 660Ti. Its AMD counterpart is roughly the 7950, but it's more expensive and not really faster.

PCDiga has a MSI GTX660 Ti OC 2GB for 285€.

Nvidia Geforce 660Ti it is! If you look *really* hard you can find some GTX670 for ~$340US, but I doubt they're that low in europe.

My first build was:

Case: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer
Processador: Intel Core i5- 3470 sk 1155
Motherboard: Gigabyte z77x-d3h intel z77
Placa Grafica( GPU ): msi ge force gtx 660 twin frozr 2gb
Memoria Ram: Kingstom 8gb hyper x blu red ddr3 (2 x 4gb )
Disco Rigido( Hard drive ): Seagate 2Tb Barracuda 7200.14 64MB 3.5 Sata III
Dvd R/rw: Gravador DVD 22X SATA interno BULK
XFX PRO550W CORE EDITION
INTEL 330 SSD 60GB 2.5" SATAIII

I can get this in portugal like +/- 950€ (1245 $ USD ) and that's the budget that i want to spend without monitor ( if someone could sugest something with 24'' trully good and with a good price/performace).

If someone could help me to build a great machine with that budget better than this... i would be greatfull for life, since will be my first big investment in an full pc build.

(sry if my english its not perfect... )

Monitor suggestions:

LG Flatron IPS234V
ASUS VS239HR

They're IPS panels, not TN. 6-bit with AFR, not "pure" 8-bit IPS but many, MANY miles better than any TN panel. I've personally used the Asus, and it's fabulous for the price. Both available in Portugal around the 200€ mark - maybe less.

Huh, that VS239HR seems to be the exact same thing as the VS239H-P here in the 'states. I wonder why the different name for the global release, or what the difference is.

I've seen some online shop with the i5 3570K for about 200€ and a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 660 Ti for ~ 260€.
If you can't afford it, I would suggest you an i5 3550 (180€) and a plain GTX 660 not Ti version (200€), or maybe a Radeon HD7870 GHz edition (200€).
You might want to try to strech your budget and get a 128GB SSD (Samsung 840 Series seems to be a good choice) for about 90€.
That is with 21% VAT included in Spain, so it might be a bit more expensive in Portugal due to the 23% VAT you have there.

Hi there, welcome to TR.

In Europe prices are within €10 between the 660Ti and a 7950 Boost; Performance is extremely close between the two cards.

I would go for a 7950 since you get Bioshock Infinite and Far Cry 3 which are worth €90. There are also promised drivers with a re-written memory manger coming out of AMD in the near future that will give the 7950 a boost over the 660Ti. Nvidia aren't offering either the games or the promise of future performance increases, so it seems like a no-brainer given their European price.

If you are looking to save money, Coolermaster are pretty cheap over here but the deal to get in Europe is a Silencio 550 bundled with the Coolermaster PSU. It's not the best unit available but it's very good value and since it's a reliable CWT-made unit, it should be up to the task of powering an i5 and beefy graphics card.

The Radeon might require a smidgen more tweaking (enabling/disabling CATALYST A.I. and such) to make games run properly, which is why I recommended the 660Ti for his no-hassle request.

That said, if I were buying for myself, I'd probably get a 7950 -- or stretch a little for a 670. I might rather get a 7950 anyway tho, for that 384-bit memory. ( ̄ω ̄;)

Just thought I'd mention that the GX550 PSU that usually comes bundled with the 550 is an 80+ bronze-rated unit and basically the equivalent of the XFX 550w that you listed.
I buy these because the Case+PSU bundle means that I'm getting the PSU for about €25 but you'll have to check Portugese retailers (I only buy in UK, France, Holland).

Save up a bit for the 670, or get the 7950.

The 7950 gives you two great games for basically equal performance with the 660ti.

Placa Gráfica: Gigabyte GeForce GTX660 Ti OC Windforce 2GB GDDR5 (PCI-E)
Motherboard: MOTHERBOARD GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H SKT 1115

Congrats on your new build, I would get this system if I were to buy a new one today. Maybe I would get a 256GB which are under 200€ right now, but the rest seems ok to me.
A comment about your case, I have a CoolerMaster Sileo 500, and it's quite efficient isolating noise from the inside of the computer, but still, you can hear the cpu fan under load, so maybe you should consider getting a better and more silent cpu fan. Or maybe the Silencio, which is a newer model does a better job at it.
And you're on reason, computer hardware prices are quite high here in southern Europe, at least considering or low wages, but that is another story.
