I was wanting to share and read other people's experience with the MSI R7850 Twin Frozr.

So I'm obviously an enthusiast (just check my sig, that's only half the computers I own, lol)

Anyway, I built a gaming rig for an acquaintance and chose this video card for their box. I was absolutely blown away with how quiet it is! What about you guys/gals, similar experience?

I liked it so much I bought one for myself and it should be here tomorrow. I'm popping it into my 2nd gaming rig and gonna give EVE Online another try and let it run 24/7 on gaming rig #2 :)

I was very happy with my MSI 6950 Twin Frozor, at least until it died after a little less then a year later. The repllacement refurb they sent me besides being dirty and nasty and needing a good cleaning died in less than 5 months. At least for the replacement for that one, they sent me a brand new one.

Mine is very cool and quiet, I really liked that I didn't need to buy an aftermarket cooler for it (like I've had to do for the last few cards I've owned).

I did NOT like that the card started showing graphic corruption a week after I installed it.

The RMA replacement has been working flawlessly, however.

Interesting! I really hope I don't run into hardware problems. My desire for the card was purely based on how quiet it was (of course aside from the good midrange chipset).

Seems MSI's QA hasn't improved- got a GTX260 from them back in the day, it promptly went back :). Think I replaced it with an XFX, but I'm an EVGA man now.

I've had my 7850 Twin Frozr for about 4 months now and it is working great. I have it overclocked a bit on stock voltage and play a few hours a day during the week and several over weekend days and don't have any complaints.

I've always been an XFX man for the red camp and EVGA for the green camp. But again I strayed a little for the low sound of this card. Hell this is the first mid-range card I've ever bought. I always go for the crazy expensive cards
