Streaming Video Capture Recommendations

Hi all, I am looking for recommendations on software that is capable of capturing streaming video and audio from sites like youTube, etc. I recently used Snagit and it did a good enough job capturing everything but there was a discernable audio lag where the audio did not sync with the video. I don't know if that was a result of the software or whether it was because my computer is not powerful enough (I don't have the specs of the laptop I was using on-hand but know it is reasonably powerful with a discrete graphics processor).

Any help is appreciated.

i use the flashgot add-on for firefox. it's a little quirky sometimes, but i haven't had any audio sync problems.

i use the downloadhelper addon for firefox.It work's great can be used on virtually any streaming video site, and is very easy to use.

I've been using Moyea to download as a .flv and SUPER © to convert.

Well, I still had to download it as a .flv file and do the conversion using a free FLV converter program.

Correct.
It's a two step process.
If all you want to do is download and watch, WMP will play them.
Or.
I use Media Player Classic Home Cinema
If I want to burn a VCD I convert with SUPER © and burn with Ashampoo Burning Studio Free

So then what FLV converter program would you recommend? It doesn't necessarily have to be a free one although I wouldn't mind using one that is. Thanks!
