Device ID viewer for Windows 7 anyone??

Postposted on Mon Nov 14, 2011 5:33 pm

Hello everyone,

Would anyone know whether there is a cool tool out there that will display Device IDs in Windows 7 in a list format? I know Linux has the feature built in called something like LSPCI. I would rather look at an entire list than have to go into to each device's properties and root out the ID. I would appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks,

devcon

Code: Select all
devcon hwids *

Does a bunch of other cool stuff as well. (I used to use it to force hardware rescans when hot-plugging things that didn't explicitly support hot-plugging)

Mind that the 64-bit build is for Itanium, not x86-64.

Thanks for all your comments! I found a cool tool called SIV (System Information Viewer) that does what I need and more...here is the link: http://rh-software.com/
