I am looking for a video format converter to convert .swf to .mp4. Could anyone help?

Thanks for your response.
I tried three different converters but my attempts always resulted in "Failed to load". I downloaded the video by DownloadHelper 4.9.8 from --- this --- website.
It is only 2.8MB video. The DownloadHelper was supposed to automatically convert it to MP4 but it did not.

Again. My first LMGTFY link, points to: http://www.xilisoft.com/video-converter ... o-mp4.html

And winds up downloading: x-video-converter-ultimate.exe

Have you tried that yet?

I tried that XiliSoft converter and got message, "Some video or audio files are not valid and failed to load". I can play the video by Adobe Flash Player or Adobe Media Player so the file is not corrupted.

Are these SWF files Flash video, or are they Flash animations? I'm guessing that converter only handles Flash video. To convert Flash animations (which aren't really video at all -- they're actually scripts which get interpreted on the fly by the player) you probably need something that can convert the animation to a video format first.

If the files are indeed video, then maybe the converter doesn't support the full range of audio/video codecs, and doesn't know how to deal with the codec used on your files.

It is a flash video but it includes elements of animation that are texts moving on the video screen. Please try and see the video stream from the link above.

If the text is indeed coded as an animation (and not just part of the video stream), that may be the issue. (I'm not sure if Flash video actually supports this...)

On the YouTube site, there are many Karaoke videos that include moving song lyrics. I have never had any problem with these videos. However, they are usually flv files not swf.
I guess I just have to use Flash Player to play this swf file.
