Well I was looking to get a sound card to make my Advent powered partners sb750's to have better stereo separation like they had with my gaming rigs ALC 889 soundchip. but this H67 MB has a sub par Realtek ALC 650 that had horrible stereo separation. With money tight for me at the moment I am holding off on the soundcard.
So I figure I would download and try Razers Surround program for my self powered stereo speakers. So after Installation and calibrating the program it did not work out like I planned. All the sound that were supposed to come out of the rear or side speakers was super faint and could not be heard. But then i went into the realtek control board and selected 5.1 surround and Bam stereo separation sounds great slightly over processed but 100% better then it was along with better bass since it has a bass boost.
I do not have regular stereo headphones to try the program with but if you have sucky onboard sound with stereo headphones or speakers and you want to spice it up it looks like the program does something It might not be great but mine is working better then it did. It will definitely give you some surround like action like it did on my stereo speakers, but I am sure it will work better with headphones since that is what it was really made for.
If anyone tries it post here I am sure some people might want to know how it works. BTW it has presets for every razer stereo headset they make plus a generic stereo headset preset.
