For those that lost the first week, & won the second...

Mon Sep 20, 2004 2:27 am

LET THE MOTHERF*CKIN GLOATING BEGIN!
lol

Nothing like winning at the end Sunday, knowing your opponent has no one playing monday night, and knowing you STILL have someone playing.

Note that it is possible to score negative points. Those Monday-night guys could cost you the win if it's close now.

How about those of us that lost the first week, then got stomped into a fine powder the second week? Got anything for us to do, besides whimper?

I'm down 20 pts... but i only had 3 players play yesterday... everyone is tonight, and he's got 1 player... but it is westbrook, so hopefully every TD is McNabb to TO or McNabb to Chad Lewis, and Akers scores at least 2 field goals.

No, McNabb isn't going to get more then 20 fantasy points. As long as he stays under 20 I'll win this week. :D

As long as TO stays relatively quiet (fat chance, yeah i know) and Akers puts up some points to counter any that TO may put up, I'll be set for the week.
Does anyone remember laughter?

Do you guys know how long Kennison is gonna be out for? I dropped him because he got injured. Also, Travis Henry is day to day right? Should I keep him?

It's probably best to drop him. Avoid the KC passing game like a brain surgeon with a "Born to lose" tattoo.

P.S.: Trent Green is reportedly working on his autobiography titled "Hitler Was Right." Pass it on.
Good bye everyone.

Travis Henry is day to day but I'd look to deal him. McGahee is a better running back.

Well I'm not 100% till tomorrow but i'm fairly confident i won again. weeeeeeee. 2 TD's from mcnabb, 9 pts from akers, 1 TD from owens, fumble recovery from D, 1 sack... and I was 23pts behind, and he got MAYBE 1 pt tonight.

I'm sorry, what was that again? ;)

edit: two weeks in a row where I've had someone get a pretty ugly injury early in the game. Boo!

Only because of a TD to TO that wasn't even a catch. That should have been challenged and it would have easily been overturned. Even if some strange reality where it would get ruled a catch, he was down on his knees before the ball ever crossed into the end zone. Seriously bad call by the officials. I also blame the Vikings for basically sucking up the field all night.

I also have myself to blame for trusting a RB spot to Fred "The Wimp" Taylor. He's way too over-rated. I had Westbrook in as a starter but then pulled him at the last minute, thinking that at least Freddy boy could get a touchdown. Instead, he didn't even get 60 yards.

Anyways, it was a close one and certainly kept me entertained all weekend. Next week the Evil Overlords shall rise again and crush the Viking Plunderers! ;)

I'm not gonna argue that it WAS a td... but he did NOT have possession when his knee hit the ground, it came back up, and he bobbled some more. All that matters in the end is... it was ruled a TD, goes in the books as a TD, and I got fantasy points as a McNabb to TO TD. Tice didn't challenge it, the ref's didn't call it, end of story.

I'm just glad not to be 0-2. Manos HOF is quite the powerhouse, the only 2-0 team in our league.

Exactly. I was so hoping to avoid a 0-2 start.

Somehow I managed to pull off an 2-0 start.....no clue how I managed that. I guess my team is better than I gave it credit for.

Edit fixed supidity....
