As long as Brodeur can keep it going, then I think they'll be alright. His playoff experience alone can take the team a long way.

He'll be 35 in May. And for those not too familiar with Brodeur, he was drafted in 1990 by the Devils and has played for them ever since. 17 years (if you include the lockouts) for the same team. That's insane. From what I remember, he said that he has no plans of retiring. I'm pretty sure he's still still chugging along so he can get Sawchuk's and Roy's (his idol) records, which won't take him much longer to get.

Brodeur is the type of goalie that can steal a game or even an entire series for you. Very solid in net. I wouldn't be surprised if the Devils steals the East, but of course, it may not happen.
