for example, after their 2nd loss, Florida will be dropping down even further.. below teams that there is no way they'd lose to. South Florida might be a good team.. but they wouldnt beat Florida. Nor would Boston College or West Virginia..

In what's been the year of the upset in college football, Stanford's stunner just might top them all.

Well they are 4-2 just like Nebraska although in their division they are 2-0 unlike Nebraska. By next week Nebraska will be unranked.

Playing devil's advocate here... Why aren't they realistic? USF beat Auburn at Auburn. Auburn beat UF at UF. Doesn't that at least mean that USF isn't just some school getting lucky beating cream puffs? It's great that the best team in Florida currently resides in Tampa, especially since they won and UF lost again.

So what? USF has beat a good team each year in the last three. That doesn't make them consistently good. We played a decent game against LSU, and barely lost. We played a pretty bad game against Auburn, and barely lost.
And no, the best team in Florida does not reside in Tampa. No questions asked. Remember when UCF thought that last year after winning the CUSA title

record is only as meaningful as the opponents that were faced.

That's why Hawaii gets no respect. At least they'll play us next year
ifittakesforever wrote:I still don't see how you guys are twisting USF's record to say they don't belong there. They beat Auburn at Auburn when they were ranked 17th, then beat West Virginia, ranked #5. They're 2-0 against teams that were ranked at the time. UF has lost to a then unranked Auburn in Gainesville, which only makes USF's win over Auburn look that much better, then UF lost to LSU and barely beat an unranked Mississippi. UF is 0-2 against ranked opponents so far. Explain to me again how USF doesn't deserve to be ranked ahead of UF?
