I guess we just have to agree to disagree. Myself and many others call the playoffs the real season.

Fair enough, then their yards per catch is unimpressive because 49 people are averaging (or averaged) 10+ ypc in the playoffs.

Like I said, the PLAYOFFS are the real season. Just ask the 18-1 Patriots.
EAT THAT!

Apparently the Lombardi Trophy, since he wanted to stick it up Mr. Barber's butt, and then tell him to eat it. I'm confused, myself...

I didn't care too much either way though to see something like a 19-0 perfect season would have been cool. Seriously that is a once in a lifetime things. And regardless of what people might think of the pats. They have been an efficient organization. Kinda hard not to respect their 7 year run when you local minor leauge NFL team is the Lions.

Yeah, but you'd hear about it for the rest of your life from every Pats fan in the country. Yeah, the Dolphins are jerks, but how often do you ever hear a Dolphin fan talking smack about their perfect season. In fact, how often do you even run into a Dolphin fan? :D

From 1972?

Either way, let's get the next season started!

I'm going to try a little harder to make to some games this year (both pro and college).

Here's to hoping none of the top 8 make it into the top 8.

wtf have I said anywhere about being a Tiki Lover? I've mentioned Tiki one **** time on this board, and that was to suggest that Idachafee's daughter, like Tiki, might one day stop fumbling every time she toted the rock.

I am a Dolphin fan. Once again I live in Detroit, I needed some team to root for. And I still think Dan Marino is the best QB never to win a superbowl.

My feelings are hurt.

Now, on to more Tiki bashing.

I like this article here:

http://daily.phanaticmag.com/2008/02/ad ... ction.html

Barber did the Giants a huge favor by walking away after the 2006 season ..............

There was no Barber in the locker room undermining Manning an every turn .............

While the Giants were winning the super bowl,
Tiki was probably spooning with Peter King, trying to convince his personal mouthpiece that "he didn't care," ..........

lol

For any other league this would be true. For the NFL it is not. I recall the '91 '49ers going 10-6 and not making the playoffs. A few years ago the chiefs went 11-5 and didn't make the playoffs.

The NFL regular season has a huge bearing on the playoffs. You need to produce in both if you want to hold the trophy.

Most NBA, MLB, and NHL teams can have several multi-game loosing streaks and still get into the playoffs. A 4 game loosing streak in the NFL can be a playoff berth death knell.

What are you talking about? Who said I was one of Tiki Barber's lovers? There's alot of misinformation on the Internets and I want to make sure it's covered. I have never had sexual relations with that man, Mr. Barber. If you had spoken in clear English what you wanted Mr. Barber to do to/with the Vince Lombardi trophy, I'd have never said anything in this thread.

Well obviously, since there are only 16 games in the regular season in the NFL. Obviously each game more weight than in an 82 (NBA) or 162 (MLB) game season. Duh.

PerfectCr, be nice now MY BROTHA. You don't want to get your feelings hurt too.

Thank you for contributing, not. The point was some posters were acting like statistics in the regular season in the NFL didn't mean anything. That is was garbage time. Hence where my arguement stemmed from. Please stop taking my comments out of context.

Since you missed it the first time.

This is why College Football is the one true sport.

What's that? You lost your first game of the season? Well better luck next year.
