Ronaldinho is expected to leave Barcelona at the end of their year. So where will he go? An interesting offer has come up from the LA Galaxy. This is the same team that already acquired David Beckham. They have offered Ronaldinho 50 million dollars per year. %50 for playing and %50 for his image. This offer may not be able to be matched by anyone else.

I dont know much about soccer...but was Beckham even a good investment for LA? Theyre paying him some insane amount as well...I'd guess that if they add Ronoldinho their team payroll will be like $100M. So either theyre hemorrhaging money or soccer is way more lucrative than I thought.

Well Beckham is having somewhat of an MVP season. I guess we will see when playoffs come around if he was worth it.

I think there is a clause in the MLS to limit the player's salary. Only one player in each team is allowed to go over the cap. Ronaldino is not even 30 yet (I think?). He still has a few years left in Europe and Manchester City is interested in him.

For Beckham, his "performance per dollar" may not be very good with his $100 million salary. But his value is not in his performance, but in marketing. Real Madrid made a mad profit from him just by selling his jersey. Galaxy probably sells much more tickets now than before.

The flopping is awful. I enjoy good soccer and the flopping ruins it for sure. Can't believe how many times guys leave on a stretcher and are back 3 minutes later. Funny that the die hard fans just accept it.

Yeah I think that's Ronaldo. There's always that conspiracy theory that the French, during the 1998 World Cup Finals, sent all sorts of hookers to make Ronaldo tired like a frightened turtle. That's why I find it hard to believe he has a hot enough wife that can stand him, as some suggested above.

There's two Ronaldo, one is Brazilian, the other one is Portugese (Cristiano Ronaldo). I know Cristiano has a reputation for diving, but what I saw of him in CL this season, I can't say i dived much. If anything, it seemed to me he got fouled a lot without a whisper from the referee.
