I like Gruden too.
Don't get me wrong.
But.

But since going 15-4, including the Super Bowl, in his first season with the Bucs, Gruden went 45-53 and made quick exits from the playoffs after winning division titles in 2005 and 2007.

Dungey built that team.
Gruden didn't do anything since he was handed it.

Well he did inherit a helluva team from...oh...what was that fella's name, went on to coach in Indy, I guess. Can't think of it. Gee, I guess Gruden could go ruin another one of that guy's teams.

Considering he was under .500 excluding the Super Bowl season, he had plenty of reason to get the boot. He took a Super Bowl winner and turned it into a mediocre-at-best franchise.

The guy who replaced Gruden inherited a helluva (good but aging oh so fast) team as well. Gruden did build one of the super bowl teams that year, he just coached the other one.

He's been crap since, though.

That's probably a fair point, the Raiders have been worse than the Bucs since that fateful day.

Bleh.

They should hire both Dungy and Gruden.

They did not do enough scorched earth in the department to really make a big difference.
