For those who play the game on www.f1frl.com the site is updated for 2011 and the Techreport mini-league is active.

It looks like we will have a bit more time to set up our teams.

It's going to be an interesting start to the season. The Pirelli tyre has a higher degradation making most races at least 2 pit stops and hence reintroducing a bit of the strategy side of things and nobody really knows yet how the adjustable rear wings are going to change things. I just saw a quote by Vettel pointing out that with the high degradation then there are a lot of marbles and hence the overtaking is likely to become almost impossible after half distance. I'm also curious on how "Quick-Nick" will do in Kubica's car, he's been pretty highly rated throughout his career but never really had the car to deliver.

I'm not sure what is worse: The political unrest in Bahrain or the crime F1 has seen in Brazil. For once in Formula 1, money doesn't reign supreme.

Nonetheless, I guess we'll have to put up with NASCAR until F1 begins. I'm representing in the FRL again this year as Get a Mechanical Grip.

60 years of glorious Ferrari engines, albeit for a Shell gasoline ad. Doesn't matter. Turn up the volume and enjoy.

I registered as Skullzer, created a team name Flying Leezards. How do I join the TR mini league?

Also, with NASCAR starting it only reminds me that the start of ALMS is near. I can't wait for the 12hrs of Sebring! Watching NASCAR is a form of counting sheep for me, my wife knows that if I put it on Sunday it's time for me to take a nap.

Had to do a lot of compromise. My team won't be as competitive as it was last year :(

My team will go under fine tuning, since we have 3 races in practice session... :)

Sigh. The more they change the more they stay the same. No overtaking. :-?

Sikthskies created the past mini leagues and if he still owns it, he needs to login and send invites to all of you. For some reason we have 4 teams there already.

I just did a quick search. Hard to believe this is the 6th year we are doing this, with the first 3 using mclaren.com now-defunct system and the last 2 on f1frl.com. We have as much history as TR BBQ! :D

Speed is live streaming all of the sessions for the Australian GP!

Looking at the closeups of the tire wear, the Pirelli tires look like retreads.

Now this is how you introduce a racing season. From the shots of the classic cars, to the use of the classic BBC music ("The Chain" and "Hocus Pocus"), and with Sean Bean growling as only he can, the Beeb has just thrown down and made it clear that the other networks need to step up. 1080p to boot.

I would not be to fast to judge. The Merc's crashed out, Sauber got DQ'ed, Ferrari is not going to take it on the chin for long. So unless your team is all STR, Virgin and HRT I'm sure you may be fine.

Did anybody watch the British Grand Prix? Best one I've seen in years, thanks to the revised circuit layout.

Unfortunately many of the reasons why it was good got DNFs. Button and Kobayashi were putting out gutsy moves but had to retire due to no fault of their own.

Hamilton was amazing though. After all his woes in previous races this is vindication.

Captain is very close, only 10 points away from me. I hope my team members do good in next race, or else he would easily take the 3rd spot.
