NOTICE: May have lost a few posts

We just cut back over from the backup DB server to the primary. In the process, we may have lost some forum and news comments posts made between approximately 9:09PM and 9:30PM tonight. With luck, we didn't break anything else.

I noticed the pages took a little longer to load.
Thanx for the update.
Are we getting a server upgrade soon, or is that not in the works any time soon?

Actually, we have two bitch-ass fast servers almost ready to roll. Not sure we need 'em, but they should help during big traffic peaks.

If I have time, yeah. The boxes were bought in December, so it's really crazy. We've just had other priorities. They're still not quite ready.

Heh. Two servers, two Opterons per. 8GB of RAM per. Four Raptors per. Intel RAID controllers w/128MB RAM. Etc. They'll do.

Noooooooo!!!!!!!! I had made a record 300 posts during this time, and now it's gone, all gone. My post count is forever scared!

With 4 Raptors and the other goodies you mentioned I also wouldnt mind reading a hardware/opinion piece on the servers.
