the mouse is the only thing i dont really want to change actually, 3 of my friends have this mouse and i love it, i love the feel and it fits my hand really well, i also hate wire mouses for some reason so thats why i love this.
*edit* im also alright with waiting a month, becasue im stil saving up enough so when i buy this baby it wont make me broke, so ill prolly just wait the month and see.

Oh hey. I actually didn't notice that it was one of logitech's high end combo ones. I'm just assuming a low-end desktop combo. My apologies. (sheesh, I seem to be doing that alot lately. Maybe I should learn to read

btw do you think i should go for the dfi that is out now or wait for the LANPARTY UT NF4 SLI-DR Expert?
*edit* another question, what do you guys think of going with two 7800gt's? for sli, or should we just wait and get one gtx then upgrade later?
btw again...what is better 2 7800 gt's or 2 6800 ultra's i would assume the GT's but i want to no for sure

It is definitely best to buy one good video card now rather than starting with SLI of two lesser cards.

card looks really nice and has some good specs, i can just over clock it to tthe same speeds as the 7800gtx besides the 1 vertex and 4 pipelines and put these badboys in sli and i will have some good power, i also saw the benchmarks between 2 7800 gtx's and 2 7800'gts and they are very close, and thats with a basic 7800 with lower clock speeds then this one, seems like a good deal and should support me for the next 2-3 years before i get anothing comp
, still not sure if imma get it yet though

You do use it for professional rendering apps, meaning you will need OpenGL. ATI != OGL unfortunately.
7800 is your GPU.

i.c so does this mean i cant use ati for maya, lightwave and 3d max which is what i use?

It *should*, as long as they have "certified" drivers. You will have to check that, or people in the know can tell you. AFAIK these days the drivers are ok featurewise.
In the old days a friend of mine had to change to a "lowly" Oxygen, and it did wonders to his Pro/E. That was then.

Actually, that was my own opinion until recently.
However, benchmarks of the X1800 show it outperforming the 7800 in Catia (as well as several other OpenGL productivity apps).
And I actually used a 9700 Pro and a Rage 7500 mobility on Catia with no problems for over a year. Moving to a GeForce 5700 (different PC) showed no appreciable gain/loss.
So it would seem that ati's OpenGL
gaming drivers are quite poor, but they are perfectly fine for professional CAD apps.
