Never heard of iMicro, so I'd tend to be wary about the quality of the included PSU, and the case itself is super ugly. On the other hand, that $80 InWinn case (while it has good ratings) makes me think that getting a case and PSU separately would be a better option. That way you know exactly what you're getting. Your call though.

8GB is not really necessary for this build. Even TR's Econobox gaming computer only uses 4GB. Yes, 8GB is relatively cheap, but I would rather see you spend the extra $20 on a better quality case/PSU.

You're right, sometimes we can become so enticed with cheap products and end up paying a high price for it, better to just buy something you know will have quality, I'm thinking anything from Coolermaster would be alright, no? Something like this:
Cooler Master RC-343-KKN1 Elite 343 No Power Supply Micro ATX Mini Tower Case - Black --- $40

As for memory, My thinking was "come on memory is so cheap, why not go full 8GB", I think I forget that this build is not really for me I guess, 4GB should be more than good enough.

PS. How do I calculate the capacity of the PSU?

Sure, I suppose that CM case would work fine.

Well, a power supply calculator of course. :D Plugging that system in with a 25% allowance for capacitor aging, recommends a 250W PSU . PSUs hit peak efficiency at 50% load so the recommended PSU wattage is always at least twice what the system power draw will be. You won't find many quality PSUs under 380W so that Antec model I linked is probably your best choice. You can get it at amazon for $42 and free shipping.

You can find some examples here and here. I personally like this InWinn case which I might end up using for my HTPC rebuild.
There are many more mITX cases out there, google search. You're going to pay extra for the small size of mITX cases and motherboards though. I don't think your parents are going to see the value when you say it cost them an extra $100+ for you to give them a machine the size of a kleenex box.
