Upgrade Questions

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my system and had a few questions about compatibility.

What I would like to get:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 660 Ti
SSD: Samsung 830 Series 256GB
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
(a mix of Sweet Spot and Editors Choice)

Current MB: ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel

Will my MB support the i5 cpu, (As far as I can tell it will not), or will I also need a new MB to support what I want? Overclocking is not a necessity.

You definitely need a new motherboard. Although, your current motherboard is one of the best for Core2 chips.

You'll want to go with something in the Intel "Z77" motherboard category. Perhaps one of these would fit the bill?
