I don't really want to sidetrack the thread, but the only platform that uses DDR4 right now is Haswell-E. Haswell-E definitely isn't your best bang for your buck gaming platform. Z97 and Devil's Canyon would serve you better, for less money.
Both sets fall inside my budget. In regards to overclocking, at first I will leave as is but I am sure I will get adventurous and start pushing my hardware.
I understand the Haswell-E is more expensive but I was under the impression I would get better performance with this technology.
