That's the same one that Rhoubhe posted. Unless I'm missing something here. Anyway, I couldn't resist this deal so I got my drive yesterday. :D

Yep, my bad. Saw "instant rebate" and did not think of the coupon

Bitten by Mail-In-Rebate "bate and hook" tactics several times before.

Still waiting on "Mail-In-Rebate" checks > $$$.00 over 6 months.

I hope that they do not lose your mails!

Good Luck

Cheers!

Could you send the mail certified?

The only trouble I've ever had from MIR's is forgetting to mail them before the deadline.

I think Staples has an online MIR center, so there is no paper trail. Wish others would follow suit.

Unless it's a instant rebate I dont touch them. I'm sick of the 8-12 week turnaround to get your check.

Only 1 year warranty on these, is that typical for WD retail drives?

Yup. Unless you buy an OEM (bare) drive, then you have the chance of getting a 3 yr. Stick with Seagates and you get 5yr no matter which.

I don't know about you people, but I've never NOT gotten a mail in rebate. I've done quite a few (well, maybe not as much as some, but I've done about 7 or 8). How is it that I've always received my cheques back (After a month or two, usually) but some people almost NEVER do?
