Did it with my brother's old 19" LCD that was a year old. Won't buy another samsung monitor after the trouble with that one and reading so many other identical problems.
That was what actually led me to this forum now that I think of it. The Samsung LCD TV thread in Visual Haven confirmed my suspicions.
