Now is a great time to be SSD shopping. I passed on the initial rush of the older OCZ drives with rebates and got in on the Staples deal offering the slower Kingston V200 128GB SSD for $57 shipped (NO REBATES !)

This is a very good deal for a very fast SSD. Again, the rebate wait can be an initial putoff, but Kingston is reliable as far as getting your rebate IMO.

Everyone seems to be complaining about the OCZ SSD drives failure rate. But i didn't see any for Kingston 3K so far.

The OCZ 4 series is a good choice if you want to buy OCZ. The Kingston HyperX series is a great performer with no reported issues worth mentioning.

The thing that appealed to recent buyers of the OCZ 3 series was simply the great price - at under $30 for a 60GB SSD, it allowed a lot of guys to say - screw it, I'll take a chance at that price. Its actually a nice upgrade on an older C2D laptop that may be feeling a bit long in the tooth. I have nothing but good things to say about my 96GB Kingston V100+ SSD - in service for a year and it really does what its intended to do.

For those not into gadgetgear (seriously its just a coupon code)

Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3/120G 2.5″ 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) -Upgrade Bundle Kit
Coupon Code: EMCYTZT2273 (9/29)

$35 Rebate ends (9/29)
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.

Seriously. Why do people link things that are in Newegg's emails on 'deals' sites instead of just posting the Newegg link? Tools.

$10 more expensive, rebate required, and now it's for the 90gb model, not the 120. Fail.

The price was nice, but you should go with this instead.
