If you plan to overclock at all i would go with the 4770k. Its a awesome chip.

I had the same dilemma over 2 years ago 2500k or 2600k......I went with the 2600k and i hope to get 2-3 good more years out of my beloved 2600k. I am glad i spent the extra $ on the better chip. Since it is a long term investment.

My 2 i3 2120 based HTPC's will be around for years also. The i3 2120 series chips have plenty of HP to live on for years.

Since there's not even the limited OC on these chips, to me there is no incentive to save a few bucks. I don't use the virtualization features that non-K CPUs have enabled.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.

Um...just to be clear, I think Jack is just posting a deal. That being said, the 4770K is available for $20 more on the same site.

Microcenter is certainly the way to go. Especially if you need a new motherboard as you can get the CPU and motherboard as a combo and save more money.

I wonder how long before we see Haswell CPUs start to drop down to similar prices to the Ivy Bridge? I would think by the end of the year it's bound to happen.
