Hiiii,

I am in need to upgrade RAM of my laptop LENOVO THINKPAD EDGE SERIES E530 PART NO. 3259T2Q.Currently it has 4GB (2 x 2gb).

I am not sure how much I can expand RAM Memory upto?

As of now I have tried some of the scanner (memorystock,crucial ) present online and also scanned my system with softwares like CPUID CPU-Z, AIDA64 Engineer, AIDA64 Extreme which all says I my laptop supports MAX MEMORY upto 16 GB.

I have done a lot research on web but official document from Lenovo contradicts with the scanners results as Lenovo says it supports max upto 8 GB only.

Please suggest on max RAM supported for my Laptop.

8GB - I just use crucial's memory finder.

Lenovo claims 8GB total. Crucial says 2x8GB=16GB. (Aranarth - do read your link carefully.)

I'm not finding anything on that exact model aside from your posts on other threads, but given that this uses Sandy Bridge CPUs, and many of those say 2x8GB RAM, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the limit. This is far from the first time I've seen Lenovo claim a system supported half what it really does (ex. my x120e claims 4GB max, everything else with that CPU can do 8GB, and x120e's are known to take 8GB just fine).

It has 16 GB of RAM support for your model.
