790x vs. 770

can someone tell me why the 770 (a lower chipset model than the 790x) has a FSB of 2600 when the 790x has only 2000?

First of all, on AMD platforms there is no FSB, it's the HT speed.

Second, are you talking MT/s or GB/s? Because from what I have been reading both chipsets will do 5200MT/s in HT speeds. In terms of the HT clock, they are both HT 3.0 so it will be 2.6GHz.

Something is wrong here. MSI's 790X board says otherwise. If you are looking to buy you need to wait for the dust to settle a bit and more reviews out on the internet. Personally I don't think there will be much difference, especially given the new CPU is underperforming.
