Will the proc work?

Mon Dec 24, 2007 7:35 pm

Im going to order a motherboard and get a penryn 45 nm processer with it. I was checking to see if the foxconn x38a supports it and on there website under drivers there is a download to make the 45 nm supported. So how would i get the penryn 45 nm to work if its the only one i have to install?

Why X38? Most (if not all) P35 boards should support the 45nm processors.
The Model M is not for the faint of heart. You either like them or hate them.

Even the cheap P31 based motherboard I just got for my wife says 45nm processors will work with it.

It will probably work just fine. It may need a bios update but its not a big deal.
