Flashing ASUS P5K-E WIFI/AP for 45nm experience

Postposted on Thu Apr 17, 2008 1:31 pm

Just wanted to share an experience as this may be useful for those making mobo selections. I've seen people have problems and needing a spare CPU on hand to flash their bios. I picked up an ASUS P5K-E WIFI/AP and a Q9300. It didn't reconize the CPU, but the BIOS booted anyway, and told me this, I then could just put the bios on a CD-R and flash from the bios itself.

Just for anyone worried about being bitten by an incompatible bios
