DDR2 is DDR2 right?

I have a couple of 2gb hynix ram modules collecting dust and I decided to install them in a dell that has just one 1gb module. But the notch doesn't match. The installed memory is non-ecc but the Hynix model number HYMP525F72CP4N3-C4/Y5 is ECC. Here is the spec sheet.

so is it the ecc?
