I have an Asus P5Q Pro with Vista Ultimte 64-bit. During bootup I keep pressing F8 but instead of the safe mode selection screen, I got a window that says "please select boot device" and I can choose my hard drive or optical drives. Anyone know what to do about this? Thanks.

F8 in the BIOS is the boot selection key. Wait a tad longer until the windows boot has started and you will be able to get into safe mode.
