It seems Gigabyte has removed Realtek LAN drivers from its website (unless I am going blind). Do people figure this was a mistake, or intentional? Should I download the generic LAN drivers directly from Realtek's website? Realtek seems to be releasing updates frequently.

I generally go for the chipset vendor's drivers for stuff like onboard NIC and audio. They are almost always updated more frequently than the ones on the motherboard vendor's site.

I'm getting updated Realtek NIC drivers automatically through Windows Update for 64-bit Vista half a dozen times a year. I don't know what they're improving, but it works fine on my system.

The Taiwanese-based "global site" still has the drivers up. Grab them while you need them.
