Fri Mar 23, 2012 7:39 pm

It's hard to believe that there are no dual-socket lga1155 server boards on the market. Is this really true or am I missing something? 0.0

I imagine multisocket chips are restricted to LGA 2011 because they need extra pins for multiple qpi links.

By all means, be sure to write to Intel and let them know.

Intel has not allowed dual/multi socket on mass-market/consumer CPUs since PGA 370 or so. The P4s were the first with Xeon-only-MP, and I doubt those days will come again.
