Need help picking a <$160 Motherboard

Postposted on Thu Aug 09, 2012 8:37 am

I am looking for a Motherboard to fit this set up in a NZXT Phantom 410:
i5-3570K, CoolerMaster Hyper Evo 212,8G Ram( 2X4), EVGA GTX670 FTW & Samsung 830 256 G SSD

The price range I am looking for is <$160, will only go to <$220 if all the <$160 are unreliable.
Need: fit all components, PCI3/SATA 6G/USB3.0, have SLI and 16G Ram expansion room, reliability

I read through this 7 Mobo review by Tom http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] ,3254.html
which ended in a 3 way tie between Biostar TZ77XE3, ASRock Z77 Extreme4, and Gigabyte Z77X-D3H but it was written before the Asus P8Z77-V LK falls into this price range($119 after rebate on newegg).

Out of these Mobos which one should I chose? I don't need features like Wifi from the +$160 Mobos but might consider them if all these are unreliable.

p.s I read a bit through Asus's newegg reviews, quite a few 1 egg reviews complaining about 2 of the 4 Ram slots not working.
I'll list percentage of 3 egg and below reviews & 1 egg reviews of these Mobo on newegg with total # of reviews next to the name as a reference:

Asus(80): 22%(11%), ASrock(199): 27%(18%), Biostar(62):23%(16%),Gigabyte(13): 16%(0)

Going by the reviews I prefer the Asus, what do you think?

Asus is always a good choice.

Edit: I posted the wrong board :-?

If you want an alternative, good set of performance and features in this Gigabyte:

Thanks for the response and FYI I only plan to OC to about 4.2-4.4Ghz(moderate), and my next GPU upgrade is GTX690(99%) vs GTX670SLI(1%)
