Asus RoG and onboard sound

I have found an Asus Republic of Gamers motherboard with sound that is supposedly better than the Realtek onboard audio that is normally supplied, which is this board. My questions to everyone here are these: Does this mobo have better sound than standard onboard audio and is this sound at least as good as the Asus Xonar cards out there currently?

It uses an on-board Realtek codec (it is covered by metal cover for better EMI shielding), with Signal-to-Noise ratio of 110dB, which IS better (at least in terms of numbers) than the similar codecs on less costly motherboards, and is better than, for example, Xonar DGX/DSX card's SnR specifications. Plus it comes with licensed Creative's software, so you should get all the features of Creative's sound cards, like surround sound virtualization, EAX effects (if you still have old games that use them) and so on. As to how it actually sounds - well, it's up to you to decide, you should never rely on anyone's subjective opinion about the sound quality and should instead always use your own ears
