That's an interesting sig. I've got the basics of all my rigs written down somewhere, but it might take up too much space for a sig . My first PC was also a 286 (8mhz), but I didn't think they used "SX/DX" monikers until the 386.
I think my favorite was the Athlon 1000. I ran it with Windows Me and was rock solid (believe it or not). Booted in ~20 seconds.
Laptops are another story:
Data General 286 > Dell Inspiron 17" P4 2.8 > Core 2 Duo (XPS16) > i7 Sandybridge (XPS15) > i5 MBA 13" > i5 MBPr 13 (running Win 8.1 natively via Bootcamp)"
And Phones:
LG dumbphone > iPhone 3G > iPhone 4 > iPhone 4S > iPhone 5S > iPhone 6 (yes, probably going to go for it)
