To see how my new C2D compared to my old XP2500+ i opened up an old scene to re render it. In an attempt to produce something of use I just changed a few things for a differantly colored image. The result...

This didn't seem appropriate for any other thread, so here it is. Found this jewel during my wanderings.

Or grounds for laughing hysterically. You might take yourself, and religion in general too seriously if you can't chuckle at that. I think if Jesus were around, he'd smirk at it.

I made this in Photoshop 7 back in the day, some of you may recognise this as the Team 2630 logo that I created a few months ago, well, this was the original image. CHKNHD (ChickenHead) was the clan I was a co-founder of back in SA, at the time 1999-2003 we were the biggest non-pro gaming anti-clan in the southern hemisphere. We played for fun and for the enjoyment and company of the other members, that was it!

The entire space backdrop was hand drawn in Photoshop 7 and some other neat filters and effects were added.

Unrelated to the topic but we were an insane bunch, so much so that these two images of my case back then probably speak a thousand words:

And here's some other signature images I created:

I just dabble in photoshop activities now and again.

Two weekends of boredom, still playing with blender and seeing how it feels, easier to use but less control over some of the finer points of shaders and lighting it seems. Modeling seems much easier in it. All in all a great program since it doesnt cost 5k usd like most. This is the speaker box i'll be making soon, got a co-worker that's interested but couldn't understand what i was saying so modeling it was most descriptive.

That's as much as i feel like doing for the sentia. I could have at least put the alienware logo below the monitor but maybe i will another time. There's three obvious mistakes to but i don't feel like fixing them so i'll consider it done. :-?

Digital Art (Image Heavy)

Anyone here ever played with programatically creating abstract art? I tried searching for such a thread, but had no luck. I recently started making BMP files with a C++ program, and found it pretty fun. I wanted to share some of the ones that I have done and also ask if others had ever worked on such things, and if so, what programs or languages they used. I think I am will be delving a little into either directx or opengl next. I used a PNG as the JPG format butchers the shading.

Also not sure this is the appropriate forum category for this thread. Moderators, please move as you see fit.
