Which of these LCD TVs?

A Westinghouse with a DVI-D and a Hyundai without. Is that something to be concerned about? The Hyundai does have a VGA port. Any other features that are particularly important when shopping for these things?

well, if you are gonna be plugging a computer into this thing (which im assuming you are), you should definitely go for one with a DVI-D input. and anyway, ive heard lots of great things about that westinghouse being used as a PC monitor.

I think you're thinking of a different Westinghouse. The one I linked to isn't the same one that PerfectCR is using IIRC. Dunno though....

Have you seen these TVs in action?

I would never buy a TV model, that I haven't viewed myself.

No, haven't seen them in action, but I was strolling through Wal-Mart of all places today and browsed their selection and all of the LCD HDTVs looked acceptable in terms of picture quality. Some were better than others, but anything is better than the 27" from 1995 that I've got right now. 720p looked good all the way up to 37".

New Egg no longer carries the screen me and PerfectCR use, i.e. this one:

I don't know why. Maybe it's been phased out. It's a great screen.

Of course, if I take my side job money, and also sell my Krugerrand, then I could get the 42" 1080P Westinghouse:

I have the Westy 37w3 and love it, tons of inputs and such.

Costco is selling the 37w3 for $799 now, I've had a few friends buy it since the price is so good. I've been thinking of getting two more so I can triple screen my Forza2!

That might be the way to go, especially since I can't seem to locate my Krugerrand :o
