Need a simple, free, DVD making program

Sat May 17, 2008 3:22 pm

Hey all,

I have some AVI files lying about that I would like to burn to a DVD for playback in a DVD player. Not wanting to spend money on it and wondered if there was a nice freeware program someone had written to do that?

Thanks!

AVI2DVD is a pretty capable program. Probably not the best to create menus, but I cannot really say since I havn't tried those options. But best of all, it's free, and I have used it often in the past. Fairly easy to use also.

There is also ConvertXtoDVD that is probably better, but I don't think it's free.

I'll try that AVI to DVD program. I tried Windows DVD Maker, but it said my avi files were invalid or corrupted, even though Windows Media Player plays them just fine. Go figure.

The AVI to DVD seems to be about what I am looking for. Only thing is it only seems to accept a single AVI as input. I was going to try to get multiple AVIs onto a single DVD. Suppose I could find a program to concatenate the AVIs into a single AVI. Thanks for the suggestions.
