Cats make excellent photographic subjects.

I'll have to dig up some of my pics from the White tiger exhibit at Busch Gardens.

The tiger exhibit was being renovated, so I didn't get to see any tigers this week. I can offer you a jaguar, though:

These guys have the longest legs in proportion to their bodies of any cat species. Click the tiny images to see larger versions.

This guy was hiding in the shade. I couldn't see more than paws with my naked eye. There wasn't enough light to get a good shot without a tripod.

I had a great aunt (mother's father's sister) who had a pair of ocelots as pets (house-broken and leash-trained) back in the '40's~'50's. They had been orphaned and rescued by her uncle who lived in Texas at the time. I remember playing with them as a young child. My sister used to load them into one of those enormous, old-fashioned, wicker baby carriages and wheel them aroung the neighborhood. One lived about 17 years; the other, nearly 20.

Making pets of wild animals is considered cruelty today (in addition to being illegal in most states). However, those cats were well cared for and well loved by all in the family.
