As far as compression goes, OTA is ridiculously better than cable. Everything is compressed, no question there, but Just freshly back from vacation in a real nice hotel (sadly no fresh jokes), and they had a 'HD' TV in the room with cable service. One word: yuck.
Now then, if them hippie-tree-hugging-dirt-munching druids will let us install the necessary distribution boxes for AT&T's µVerse TV service in the Bay Area, that would rock. Fiber FTW!
